Roland Kühl has been appointed as the new Managing Director. He takes over from Jürgen Wollschläger who is moving to a new position within the Klesch Group
Hemmingstedt, 01. Dezember 2022 – Raffinerie Heide today announced Roland Kühl, previously Production Manager of Raffinerie Heide, has been appointed as the new Managing Director. Effective 1 December 2022, Roland Kühl succeeds Jürgen Wollschläger, who is moving to a new senior management position within the Klesch Group.
“I feel very privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time while the current business environment is tough for our industry. Nevertheless, I am feeling confident that together with all our motivated employees we can create a long-lasting future success for our refinery,” said Roland Kühl.
Roland, who has worked for Raffinerie Heide for more than 20 years, has a broad experience of running an oil refining business. Prior to his role of Managing Director, he led the production department of Raffinerie Heide. He qualified as a professional during his time working for Raffinerie Heide in several areas including the Laboratory and Scheduling group. He is a graduate in chemical engineering of the University of Lübeck, Germany.
After almost ten years as Managing Director, Jürgen Wollschläger will now focus his time on the integration of both Refineries, Heide (Germany) and Kalundborg (Denmark), into the Klesch Group. His focus will be the strategic alignment of the two refineries and optimising commercial performance. “I am looking forward immensely to working on the future success of both refineries.” Jürgen said, as the newly appointed Managing Director of the Refining Division within the Klesch Group.
