Works Council and management celebrate with former employees
Hemmingstedt, 9 November 2023 – After a coronavirus-related hiatus of three years, the traditional Pensioners’ Meeting of Raffinerie Heide took place at Stadttheater Heide yesterday, 8 November 2023. Around 170 former employees accepted the invitation of the management and Works Council, taking the opportunity to talk to each other and company executives in a convivial setting. ‘I am delighted that we are once again finally able to celebrate this event, which is so important to us, this year. We are a site with a long tradition and we owe a lot to our former employees. With this meeting, we would like to thank them for all they have done for our company’, says Roland Kühl, Managing Director of Raffinerie Heide.
The Works Council is also very pleased that so many former colleagues came to Stadttheater Heide to catch up with their old company, but also find out about the entire industry. ‘With this event, we express our appreciation for our former colleagues, which is something very close to our hearts as a Works Council,’ explains Kai Bergmann, Chairman of the Works Council of Raffinerie Heide. Norbert Weber, Head of HR at Raffinerie Heide, adds: ‘The Pensioners’ Meeting has become something very special for us over all these years and I am glad that so many employees remain loyal to us and joined us even after their active service.’
Around 400 former employees of Raffinerie Heide had been invited to the Stadttheater. The event began with a presentation by the Works Council and the management on current issues and developments at the company, followed by coffee and cake, lively discussions and a traditional dinner. The date for next year is already set: on 6 November 2024, the Works Council and management will once again be hosting the event at Stadttheater Heide from 2.30 p.m.
