Health and safety first
We are proud of our HSEQ programme, which stands for ‘health, safety & security, environment and quality’. This programme combines all our activities to protect people and the environment and ensures compliance with the highest safety standards. Regular training courses and awareness-raising measures, such as our HSEQ Days, promote ongoing understanding of, and commitment to, safety and environmental issues amongst all employees and partner companies.

Heide Refinery plays a key role in the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy in Schleswig-Holstein. Through a number of hydrogen projects, the company has gained valuable expertise in key technological and regulatory areas. These include electrolysis plants, the storage of green hydrogen in caverns, licensing procedures and market conditions. This expertise has made the employees of Heide Refinery recognised experts in these areas.
