Green hydrogen is the key element of the energy transition. With its diverse application possibilities, we can create the decarbonisation of heating, transport, industry and chemistry sectors on a large technical scale. For a climate-neutral, a livable future.
Together with our partners, we are working on the WESTKÜSTE100 project on the use of renewable energies for the production of green hydrogen by means of electrolysis.
Another important milestone for the expansion of large-scale hydrogen technology in the Heide region is planned with the HySCALE100 project.
Raffinerie Heide is working with other industrial partners on this project. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry for Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) have qualified the project application as part of the European initiative IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest) for the next stage of the process.
This makes the project one of the few projects in Germany to be examined at European level.
